The region installed 33,000KV for the towns samara- Logia, Mile, Aysaita, Dubti, and Dicheto, this increased the electricity accessing Woredas from17 to 24, which is 75% of the total population (EEA,2021).
The Awash River, Mille, and Logia which are tributaries of the Awash River traverse the region. Abbe Bil, Afambo, and Adebel lakes which are connected to the last section of the river Awash are found in the region. The major source of potable water in the region was obtained from 83 deep wells, 671 normal pups, 66 springs, 126 shallow wells, and 362 protected spring water. Access to water coverage is estimated to be 58.41 % (57.13 % and 63.42 %) in rural and urban respectively (NBE,2021).
In the year 2016/17, the modern transport system in the region consists of a 7,517 km road network which is the major motorized means of transportation. In the year 2019, the region has road density coverage indicated of 1.78 % sq. km. The Region is accessible by air transport with daily flights from Addis Ababa to Semera City and linked by railway service that runs between Addis Ababa and Djibouti via the Awash Station.
